Contemporary full sprinkled calf, raised bands, spine in seven panels, leather title label to second panel, panels one, three and five decorated with three gilt rolls, panels four and six with central lozenge tool and flower head corner pieces, covers with a border of flower head and leafy stem roll and leafy stem corner pieces, comb and curl marbled endpapers, edges sprinkled red and brown.

Chipped to spine ends with some loss, joints split but holding well on cords, corners bumped, a few light abrasions to covers. Lightly browned throughout, 10mm band of staining to head of title and first page of text, but generally clean. Additional engraved title by J.[ean] Edelinck.
