Smooth back divided into six panels by gilt double rules, title lettered direct in second panel, remaining panels with central quadrilobe device and dotted semi-circles to border in blind.
Small chip to foot of joints, edges and corners worn and bumped, internally quite bright and clean.
With an attractive engraved frontispiece of the Bath Pump Rooms by Wright after J. Roberts and a folding map by ?Lawrence Hill of Bristol (not in Worms and Baynton-Williams). Both the frontispiece and map are dated 1801, J.[ohn] Browne is listed in the BBTI as being bankrupt in 1804.
