Contemporary full morocco, raised bands, spine in six panels, each panel with central gilt seedhead lozenge tool, roundels and volute corner pieces, covers with gilt double fillet border, enclosing a double panel design, the outer panel a single fillet with fleuron corner pieces and a pyramid volute tool to the middle of each side, the inner panel composed of a triple fillet with flower head corner pieces, the two panels joined by mitres, gilt roll to edges and inner edges, a.e.g., combed marbled endpapers.

Slightly rubbed to extremities, corners bumped and worn. Internally frontispiece and title browned, lightly browned throughout, previous owners name to reverse of frontispiece. Title in red and black.
