Each issue is 4pp, bound together in a modern quarter cloth and marbled board binding, with ‘The English Chartist Circular’ in gilt to spine.
Externally very good indeed, internally browned with patches of foxing throughout, light staining to foot, first and last pages completely silked, a few corners and margins throughout have also been silked, a few corners missing (not affecting text), but generally the paper is intact. One or two are bound out of sequence.
The issues of the English Chartist Circular are (Volume One) No. 25, and (Volume Two) No’s 77, 79, 81-84 and 87; The Chartist Circular – (1839), no. 1, 3-8, 14, (1840) 16-44, 56, 57, 64-66, (1841) 70, 75, 76 and 84. The English Chartist Circular ran for 153 issues, the Chartist Circular 146 issues.
