Vellum rubbed, especially to spine and front cover, small split to upper joint at head with a tiny split to lower joint at head but holding well, rubbed to extremities, board edges lightly bumped, light scratching to marbled paper covering boards with small amount of loss. Internally lightly browned, one or two spots of foxing, but generally quite clean and bright. Gift inscription to ffep to an Arthur Pomeroy from a Dr Steele
The attractive hand-coloured plates to rear, binding is by F. Cavenagh of Dublin (See Ramsden, page 230, though spelled differently and at a slightly different address, almost certainly the same binder)
