Contemporary quarter morocco and ?balsa wood boards, smooth back, divided into six panels, title in gilt to second panel, remaining panels gilt with two line border and small fleuron tools, covers with a single line border and rolled inner border, central panel gilt within a rope rolled border, small metal bosses to each corner, gilt rol to edges and inner edges, silk pastedowns and free endpapers, the pastedowns with a gilt vignette of a person praying, free endpapers with a single line bordering a dotted frame in gilt, with embossed floral decoration, a.e.g.

Small amounts of loss to the ?lacquer on the covers, central gilt section scratched, slightly rubbed to extremities. Silk free endpapers lightly stained, name of former owner to ffep, otherwise internally fairly bright and clean
