Contemporary straight grain morocco, smooth back divided into six panels by gilt lines, title lettered direct to second panel, single line border to covers, single line roll to edges, rope roll to inner edges, spot and swirl endpapers, a.e.g.

Covers with dark staining, but fairly unobtrusive, corners bumped, extremities rubbed. Internally some light staining, mainly to margins, with occasional light foxing, and lightly browned throughout

With head and tail pieces by the Bewicks, and five full page illustrations by both the Bewicks, four by Thomas, and one by John

The poems are Goldsmith’s The Traveller, and The Deserted Village, as well as Parnell’s The Hermit
