Fitzalan writing to his architect Robert Abraham on December 12th, 1840, noting the presence of bugs in his house in Gloucester Place, “which of itself is enough to stop proceedings there, so that I think we must make up our minds to remain where we are this year and look about for next. We are very much obliged to you for the trouble you have taken for us; but remember, you must let me have an account of what you have done, as your time is much too valuable to be wasted”. The remainder of the letter asks Abraham if he could find a John Overington a job.
