Slightly rubbed to extremities, a couple of pages opened slightly roughly, one tear to final leaf of second volume, catching imprint but with no loss, a couple of smaller nicks and tears, top edges dust stained, a couple with small paint spots, some light browning and foxing to pages, but generally fairly clean
The BnF appears to have thirty-nine individual catalogues, and an indeterminate run published between 1856 and 1861. The bookshop, probably owned by an Abraham Alvares, was at 24 Rue de la Lune, Paris, and flourished between 1854 and 1861 according to the general catalogue of the BnF (but clearly to at least 1862 from the catalogues here)
