Rubbed to extremities, corners bumped and worn, with small amounts of loss, minor browning and foxing internally, but generally fairly clean. Former owner’s name and note in ink to head of title, the folding bill of fare is a modern facsimile. With a folding ‘Bill of Fare’ plan for each month, and the printed signature of Glasse to the first page of text

First published in 1747, this was the most popular cookery book of the eighteenth century. This edition also includes ‘Receipts for Perfumery &c.’
