[005064] [Table Mat] Buffet De La Gare De Laroche. Unknown: [Sato?], First Edition. Folio (Oblong). Unbound. Ephemera. Good. Printed tissue, approximately 420mm x 330mm in size, no place, publisher, or date, but probably early twentieth century

Lightly foxed and lightly creased, browned to edges, otherwise complete

Presumably a place mat for the buffet at a station somewhere in France. The tissue’s border has been printed in portrait orientation in Japan, and the local printer has printed the advert in the centre in landscape format. There appears to be a printer’s name, Sato, to the bottom left hand corner (in portrait)

The buffet’s proprietor was an E. Laporte, but we have been unable to find out where or who this relates to
