Some damp staining to head, one or two spots of light foxing, small hole to bottom left hand corner, but otherwise quite bright and clean.

Burgess, at 14 Artillery Lane, Bishopsgate, they specialised in these tissues, generally the decorative borders were printed in Japan, with the overprinting which was “commonly primitive .. and display a … disregard for niceties of typography and spelling” (Rickards, page 221) done locally
