Description
[005162] Buxton Forman, H. The Books of William Morris Described with Some Account of His Doings in Literature and in the Allied Crafts. London: Frank Hollings, 1897. First Edition. 8vo. Hardback. Good / No Jacket. [11], xii-xv, [4], 4-224pp. Original cloth, title, author, and date in gilt to spine, t.e.g.
Spine faded, rubbed to extremities. Endpapers and preliminaries with some foxing, text block a little loose but holding well, former owner’s name to title, with same owner’s ink stamp to title, but fairly unobtrusive
Buxton Forman did of course add spurious wrappers to some of Morris’s pamphlets, but still quite a useful bibliography
