Later straight grain morocco, smooth back, spine divided into six panels by gilt single rule, authors to second panel, covers with single line border, single line to edges, rope roll to inner edges, a.e.g. with stormont marbled endpapers

Spine slightly dulled, minor chipping to spine ends, front outer joint rubbed with minor chipping but holding well, corners rubbed. Text lightly browned, with some light foxing, but generally fairly clean. Two former owner’s names to ffep, the first T. Broadhurst (possibly T.[homas] Broadhurst (1768-1851), classical scholar); the other being Laetitia Parker the classicist, with a small piece of paper in Greek, probably by her, laid in; and also with a new year card from the classicist Gilbert Murray and his wife Mary
