First named – Heavily chipped with loss to edges and corners, especially to foot affecting main body text though without loss of sense, imprint largely lost, with just the initial ‘E.’ left. Various tears have been closed with Japanese tissue, including a large one towards the foot of the portrait. A printed overlay, ‘Vote’, has been pasted over the word ‘The’ to the foot

Second named – four areas of loss to the left hand side, catching text to head and foot (but with no loss of sense), and image, with loss to MacDonald’s head and hand. Various tears closed with Japanese tissue

From the General Election of 1931, Felix Greene stood in Essex South West for the National Labour Party (Ramsay MacDonald’s splinter group from the Labour Party), and finished third behind the Tory and the Labour Party
